Product Care

Long lasting leather shoe sakhir

Preserving What is ment to last

A Sakhir shoe is designed to age, not wear out. With time, the leather develops character, depth, and a patina unique to its wearer. Care, therefore, is not maintenance alone. It is part of the experience.

After Every Wear

Leather responds to use and it needs time to recover.
- Allow your shoes to rest for at least 24 hours between wears.
- Use shoe trees to retain shape and absorb moisture
- Avoid storing in closed, damp spaces
What you do after wearing matters as much as how you wear it.

Let the Shoe Rest

Cleaning

Dust and surface dirt should be removed regularly. Use a soft horsehair brush or dry cloth For deeper cleaning, use a slightly damp cloth and never soak the leather
Avoid harsh chemicals or detergents. Leather is porous. What you apply to it, stays with it.

Gentle, Never Aggressive

Conditioning & Polishing

Over time, leather loses natural oils.
Conditioning restores flexibility and prevents cracking.
Apply a neutral or color-matched leather conditioner every few weeks. Use polish sparingly to enhance, not cover
Buff gently to develop a natural sheen
A well-maintained shoe should glow and not shine artificially.

Nourish, Don’t Mask

Protection from Water

Avoid, Don’t Fight

Leather and water do not age well together. Avoid wearing leather shoes in heavy rain. If exposed, let them air dry naturally and never use heat. Insert shoe trees while drying to maintain shape. Water does not ruin leather immediately but repeated exposure weakens it over time.

Storage

Structure Matters

How you store your shoes determines how they hold over years. Always use shoe trees when not in use. Store in breathable dust bags, not plastic
Keep away from direct sunlight and humidity. A well-stored shoe retains its form long before it is worn again.

Sole Care

Built to Endure - Meant to Be Maintained

Soles take the most impact. Avoid excessive use on rough or wet surfaces. Leather soles may require periodic resoling over time. Early maintenance extends the life of the entire shoe. A good shoe is not discarded when worn, it is restored.

What you own should not fade.
  It should evolve.

For Custom & Bespoke Pairs

Custom-made shoes are built specifically for you and deserve equally specific attention. We recommend periodic check-ins for:
- Polishing and conditioning
- Minor repairs or reinforcements
- Sole maintenance
With the right care, your pair is not seasonal, it is long-term.

Care Is Even More Essential
